(a) issuing or refusing to issue license after scrutinizing the application to issue securities business license;
(b) suspending the license subject to a time limit or revoking the license if the license-holder violates any duty and terms and conditions;
(c) extending the term of license after scrutinizing the application for renewal;
(d) collecting license fees and fines in accord with the stipulations;
(e) issuing permit or refusing to issue permit after scrutinizing the application to establish Stock Exchange;
(f) suspending the permit subject to a time limit or revoking the permit if the Stock Exchange violates any of the duties and terms and conditions to be complied by it.
(g) revoking the permit issued to the Stock Exchange if any of the following conditions arises:
(i) termination of the business of the Stock Exchange due to any cause;
(ii) dissolution of the Stock Exchange;
(iii) decreasing the number of securities company below the fixed minimum number which shall be included in Stock Exchange;
(iv) carrying out business that distinctly detrimental to the interests of the general public and to the protection of investors in the manner of prohibited acts referred to the Chapter IX.
(h) giving permission after scrutinizing the submission for appointing auditor of the securities company and of the Stock Exchange;
(i) giving permission the constitution of the Stock Exchange and the amendment of such constitution in accord with the stipulations.
(j) granting a permit if the securities companies apply collectively to establish the Over-the-Counter Market for trading unlisted securities together with the constitution in accord with the stipulations.
(k) submitting necessary advice in respect of matters relating to securities business to the Union Government;
(l) forming necessary working committees, bodies and determine their functions and duties;
(m) directing the securities company or Over-the-Counter Market or Stock Exchange as may be necessary;
(n)supervising the securities business and shall carry out the inquiries and inspections from time to time;
(o) carrying out other functions and duties assigned by the Union Government.
