Department of Market Oversight & Supervision

The Market Supervision and oversight Department conduct to supervising the securities companies and the issuance of licenses and permits to eligible companies. Additionally, for the approval of public companies to issue securities, there are the appropriate corporate disclosures and the accounting standards to be followed by a public company. Under this department, the Division’s additional responsibilities include:

  • (1) Planning & Methodology Division

    Planning and Methodology division undertaking for management process for the Market Oversight and Supervision Department and corporation with other division. In coordination with the policy department and the market surveillance department, to conduct and regulate for the securities companies and establish the policy making for transparency. As well as on-site and off-site control to be an effective supervision procedure.

  • (2) Securities Companies Supervision Division

    The Securities Companies Supervision Division is undertaking for supervising securities companies and their businesses. The action such as issuance of business license to securities companies and their representatives according to section 25, 26(b),27 of the Securities Exchange Law; punishing the necessary supervision and control measures according to section 7(b), 11(c)(d); collecting management fines according to section 7(d); obtaining business reports and conducting off-site monitoring according to section 20(e) will include in this supervision.

  • (3) Stock Exchange Supervision Division

    Stock Exchange Division is undertaking for the stock exchange, over the counter market, deposit of securities, and supervision and clearing operations. Under Article 8(a) and Article 44, of issuing permission to operate a stock exchange and counter market. Under Article (50) (b) Deposit of securities:  of issuing permission to operate clearing operations and supervising those who have obtained permits to operate such operations. In addition, regarding the appointment of directors of the Stock Exchange, the initiative shall be taken in accordance with Article 39(a) and (b).

  • (4) Disclosure and Accounting Standards Division/ Securities issuance and disclosure Division

    Disclosure and Accounting Standards Division is undertaking for establishing appropriate disclosures and accounting standards for the relevant public companies. Under Section 35 of the Securities Exchange Law, approved securities issuance for the public offering; and under Section 12 of the Securities Exchange Law, verification of public companies disclosure information and supervision from the perspective of accounting standards. Generally, the Disclosure and Accounting Standards division performs information communication and the development of a strong legal framework.
