MoU Signing Ceremony Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar and Thailand

With the aim of developing Myanmar investment, the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SECT) was accomplished on Monday night at Sule Shangri-La Hotel in Yangon.

The memorandum was signed by the chair of the SECM, Deputy Minister of Planning and Finance, U Maung Maung Win and Secretary General of SECT, Mr.Rapee Sucharitakul.

Officials and members of the SECM and SECT, Myanma Insurance, Myanma Investment and Commercial Bank, Myanma Economic Bank, Thailand’s Stock Exchange, Association of Thai Securities Companies, Association of investment Management Companies and Thai listed Companies Association attended the ceremony.

The memorandum aims to support the development of Myanmar’s investment and trade by sharing the experience of SECT and also targets the launch of training courses for Myanma human resources development, to strengthen the capability and supervision of SECM, and to grow investment and trade markets  between Myanmar and Thailand and also ASEAN.
