3rd Roundtable Meeting on Capital Market Development in Myanmar was held

The 3rd Roundtable (The 3nd RT) Meeting was held on 28 September 2019 at the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar (SECM) in Yangon. The Meeting was addressed by H.E. U Maung Maung Win, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Planning and Finance and Chairman of the SECM.

The Meeting was attended by members of SECM and representatives from CBM, DICA and IRD, UMFCCI, YSX, Listed Companies, Securities Companies, MICPA and Embassy of Japan and, discussed about the medium-short term ways forward for capital market development including issuance of instruction regarding securities account opening for foreigne investors, capital inflow/outflow and taxation on securities trading etc.
