One more stock listed on Yangon Stock Exchange
AMATA Holding Public Co., Ltd. is allowed to list on Yangon Stock Exchange(YSX) as its seventh listed firm and before that there are 6 listed firms in YSX. The listing ceremony was held at YSX which located at 24-26, Sule Pagoda Road, Yangon at 11:00 am on 3rd June 2021 in accordance with the rules and regulations of COVID-19 Prevention.
Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Myanmar and Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance and Commissioners of the SECM, Board of Directors of Yangon Stock Exchange, AMATA Holding Public Co. Ltd, Chairman and Board of Directors, Heads of Listed Companies, representatives from Securities Companies and invited guests altogether 36 people attend the ceremony.
At the ceremony, the Chairman of SECM and Deputy Minister for Planning and Finance, H.E U Maung Maung Win in his opening remarks said that after established as a public company on 27 June 2017, AMATA Holding Public Co., Ltd. has applied for the shares to be listed on the YSX and the YSX scrutinized the company in accordance with listing criteria and securities listing business regulations in 2020 and then submitted with recommendations to the SECM for getting approval so as to approve by the SECM in accordance with the Law, Rules and Notifications.
There are 7 listed companies in the YSX with varieties of businesses including investment, banking, implementation of special economic zone, telecommunication, logistic, resort hotels and hot air ballooning services.
Myanmar Capital Market is a market for general public who can be reliable to participate with trust due to establish in accordance with the Law, Rules, Regulations and Procedures by the SECM for the stability and development of the market.
By allowing foreign investors to trade shares of listed companies on the YSX in March 2020 we invite the foreigners to participate in our market. Permitting online securities account opening to securities companies for ensuring easy access to the market by general public. Besides, the Commission issues the notification on requirements for effective corporate governance to the listed companies and public companies with more than hundred shareholders.
Providing small public companies with new options for raising capital we are implementing consciously to establish Pre Listing Board(PLB) in the YSX. By listing on the YSX as the seventh listed company, I would like to appreciate on behalf of the directors and shareholders of AMATA Holding Public Co., Ltd.
After that U Win Aung, Chairman of AMATA Holding Public Co., Ltd., explains the functions and management of the company and thanks to the SECM and the YSX for scrutinizing and approving the company to be listed on YSX. And, the Chairman of SECM grants the Certificate of Listing Acknowledgement to the company and rings the “Aung-Ze-Ya-Tu Bell” and concluding the ceremony.
